The first Congregational minister was Reverend Daniel Tomlinson. He began his 56 years of ministry on June 22, 1786.
Other early ministers were Reverend James Kimball, who came in 1832 and who did much to heal the Unitarian/Congregational schism. The Reverend Francis Peloubet, who settled from 1860 to 1866, was greatly loved and did much for the town and church.
There were twenty-three settled ministers who served from 1866 to 1966. Settled ministers since 1966 were Rev. Elwood E. Williams, Rev. David Ellis, Rev. Joanne Gray, Rev. Victoria Snow, Rev. Russell W. Arnold and the present minister, Rev. Timothy E. Hanley.
